Kevin Hayden is an award-winning cinematographer with a decade of work spanning music, fashion, documentary, fine art and a visual sensibility that is entirely his own. Raised in the energy and grit of New York City, the city’s restless creativity shapes the way he sees the world.
Kevin cut his teeth alongside Cinema of Transgression pioneer Richard Kern and millennial visionary artist Petra Collins, sharpening his eye for the raw, the intimate, and the unexpected. That foundation carried him into some of the most compelling creative collaborations of his generation. Music videos for Cardi B and Selena Gomez, projects with Spike Jonze, Spike Lee, and Jay-Z, and campaigns for Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Dior. All the while, he was moving between worlds, traveling the globe shooting documentary work for Vice, bringing the same unfiltered honesty to remote corners of the world that he brought to the highest levels of fashion and art.
His work has earned a Webby Award, multiple Clios, and VMA nominations, with films screening at Sundance, SXSW, and Tribeca. Off set, he’s a licensed pilot, a USCG-certified sea captain, and a former competitive skateboarder; someone who brings the same fearless curiosity to his life as he does to his work.
