David started taking pictures from an early age and as soon as he left school became a photographer’s assistant.

For two years he worked for three renowned photographers from Hamburg before moving to London to study film at the London College of Communication. After working for several years as focus puller in the film industry David established himself as DoP with a strong sense for mood and storytelling. He has won numerous awards as well as Best Cinematography in Sundance in 2012. He is at home everywhere with a base in the US and UK. He has worked on a variety of feature films, tv drama and commercials with established directors Danny Boyle, Peter Webber, Sally El Hossaini, photographers Mario Testino, Oliver Hadlee Pearch and artist filmmakers Phillip Warnell and Pierre Bismuth.
