Carissa Gallo began her career as a director / photographer in the fashion world, straight out of high school.

Storytelling has always been at the heart of her work. Writing narratives and creating characters, portraying a distinct humanity- she tells stories that are raw and vulnerable, leaning into a distinct femininity and personal perspective. Her latest short film Someday It is starring Jodi Balfour is currently on the festival circuit. Her first short, The Palisades, starring Kaia Gerber won awards worldwide.
She has shot films for Thom Browne, Nike, Calvin Klein, Adidas and many others.
